EN: I am really into a casual fashion. I like designing clothes I can wear everyday. I think it’s even a bigger challenge than making special occasion garments, as you need to join comfort and causality with something that will reflect your style and make that piece stand out from tones of other similar clothes. Everyday garments that I make are simple but with some interest. It can be some small detail, or interesting print, or it is just something in the garment’s pattern. That is the case with this sweatshirt that was created in the learn-as-you-play process, which can be associated to the most of my sewing adventures. I experimented a lot with this garment and it went trough few changes till this final look. I wanted to use animal print fabric on the sleeves and to emphasize it with some black, and I also wanted the sweatshirt to be wide, so I eventually got to this diamond shaped look. Those black stripes on the sides are in fact the parts of my old trousers that I loved so much. Those parts were so suitable here, because of the color and shape they are giving to the sweatshirt with their position and a thicker structure. And that is how my favorite trousers continue their life! I love the result and how this piece mixes the teenage casual fashion with a note of a slight extravagance, which gives it a space to be dressed up a bit, so it fits me and at the same time my younger sister, who poses on these photos. The skirt she is wearing is already featured in this post. Have a nice weekend and enjoy the joy of creating!

Uživajte u vikendu i radosti stvaranja!

EN: It is a saying that clothes does not make a man, but it certainly can make man happier. Colors and patterns that we are wearing can arouse emotions or remind us of somebody important, some beautiful day of our life, some unexpected meeting. I fell in love with this fabric as soon as I saw it because it tells a happy story that exists in my head as a song, because into song it was turned by a great ex-yu song writer from a famous band Azra: “I don’t sell a smiling dog. You can forget about it.The day before, while we were walking through the park, he introduced me to her.” Because of these lyrics this skirt becomes one of those small but precious things, which shouldn’t ever be underestimated because they have the power of carrying stories and experiences that really do make us happier. PS. I also sewn this sweatshirt. It is made of some fabric that we had in the house for nobody knows how long and that was used as a rug, until I grabbed it. I think that my mom will start to hide all the textiles from me.

Dan ranije, šećući kroz park, on me je upoznao s njom.” Ti stihovi čine ovu suknju jednom on onih malih i dragocenih stvari, koje nikad ne treba podcenjivati jer nose priče i doživljaje koji nas čine srećnijim. PS.
