EN: First, I’m sorry for the poor image quality (not enough light and the camera was not adequate for these conditions), but this room of a friend from Athens, where my sister and I stayed during our trip, was so inspiring that we had to make any kind of images. I sewed everything I’m wearing. This blouse is an expression of my romantic side, which is almost as strong as my urban side. I’m not going to write much because this post is about dreams, and dreams are something inside us of which we should not talk much. Dreams need to be dreamt, kept in silence, cherished and grown until they are ready to spread out of us – to begin to be realized, piece by piece … We should enjoy our dreams and receive them generously and should never choke them, as they’ll turn into a phantoms in our soul … Dreams are changing through life, some disappear and others appear, some were realized, some will never be, but they are always there and they always define us. Human is a human because he dreams, but is also a human because he sees a difference between his dreams and the reality. But dreams are what they are because they are always bigger than our reality. Don’t be too harsh with measuring that distance, and always think of realized dreams because they are our hope. Then return to your current dreams, close your eyes, feel your dream, enjoy everything about it, and after that – get out of your bed and do all you can to make it happen.

EN: Looking at these photos, I remember my stay in Athens, especially one of the walks at the Acropolis. This was one of those days that is an enemy to every tourist. Rainy and gloomy day that  can not promise anything, that makes every city uglier than it is. It is a tragedy when a few of those days come in a row, and when you feel as if some bigger forces are in conspiracy against you, imprisoning you in your room. And finally, in desperation, you go out, despite all the cold and disappointment. That was the case with me and my sister. We strolled along empty streets, squinting because invisible, boring rain was relentlessly attacking our eyes. In pure discontent, as the last chance for salvation from a three-day bleakness, we decided to go to the Acropolis that very day, and not to wait for the better weather. From that moment, everything has become beautiful. Although the city was deserted, at the Acropolis were quite a lot of persistent tourists. Some cheerful mood and radiance were floating among all people. The stone looked even more brilliant shimmering in the rain, which we did not notice no more. The wind wasn’t unpleasant anymore, but it became so exciting spreading around a strong energy of the place and everything invisible that is treasured in those stones. That day turned into one of the most beautiful memories from the trip. A few days later we were back on the Acropolis, and then it was sunny and amazing, but still that rainy day at white Acropolis, which was like an oasis, like the place where ugly is not possible, remained in my soul as a poetic and comforting experience.

Because of that, I’m so happy I took these photos then as a document of one beautiful memory. I sewed everything I am wearing. Skirt, which shined like marble; top, that gathers all the shades of stone in its modern pattern; and this coat, which, with its whiteness, reminds of the Acropolis that shined from the top of the hill as a promising place of the incomprehensible beauty. I felt like I was a part of that magical space that inspires, whose mysterious energy of undeniable power and self-sufficiency must feel anyone who is fortunate enough to set his foot there.

I iz očaja on izlazi napolje, uprkos hladnoći i razočarenju.

EN: I made this set last autumn when I wanted to learn how to sew a pleated skirt. I didn’t use any pattern but tried enthusiastically to turn two rectangles of fabric into skirt through the magic of maths. That was the pure evidence that no creation can be made just from inspiration but from hard, hard work. Anyway, I am very pleased with the result. I paired the skirt with minimalistic top which function is to modernize the skirt, to make it look like a dress and to emphasize the silhouette of the body. I often wear skirt and top separately, but together they seem as if I am wearing a dress. Here I styled it for the day look, but worn with pumps and jewel it becomes perfect classic but modern look for more special occasions. The clutch is also made by me, and soon it will be in my shop on the site. Stay tuned!
